Topic: WISDOM TO SILENCE YOUR ENEMIES

Bible Reading: Acts 6:8–10

⁸And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. ⁹Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. ¹⁰And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

MESSAGE

The problem of Stephen was that he was blessed of God. Stephen would not have had any problem at all if God had neither blessed him nor wrought miracles through his hands. In other words, he would not have had problem if there was no wonder in his life. Brethren, the enemy will not attack you if you are useless; the enemy will not attack you if you are not making impact; the enemy will not attack you if there is no miracle happening in your life. The enemy has no business attacking a man that no glory; they have no reason to fight you when the light of God is not in you and you are not a star. Beloved, if nothing is working in your life, the enemy does not need you. Haven’t you observed that when wicked men and women go before evil altars to do money rituals, those idols request them to sacrifice young people between the ages of 21 to 25 years? Those idols will never request for them to bring mad people for sacrifice. The idols do not feed on mad people, they only feed on blessed people and so they target those with bright stars, glory, testimonies, and those whom God has great plans for. So the next time you ask yourself “why me?” remember that it is because you are a star and there is something great about you. The next time you shed tears because you feel the Lord has forgotten you, remember that God did not forget you rather; it is the enemy that is after something golden in your life.

The enemy is searching for a man that has something of value. In reality, no security agency arrests a madman; neither do you find a madman being robbed by an armed robber. Such madman’s case is already concluded. The wickedness of this world go after good people. Some peoples’ battles began because they got married. The battles of others began because God gave them glorious children. The enemy we are facing is wickedly wicked and terribly terrible, such that when they sight anything good they seek to bring it down. The more you try to rise, the more they try to bring you down. No one is angry with you when you are on the same level with them, but the day you step higher than them or rise above them then you know those that truly love you. For instance, if you live in a compound where nobody owns a car, the day you bring a jeep to that compound, you begin to acquire enemies. Everybody would believe that anything you do is because you bought a car.

Brethren, the wickedness of the wicked go after good things; the enemy’s idea is to turn the good to bad. The enemy is satisfied if the whole world is in a mess; the enemy is satisfied if there is trouble everywhere. They faced Stephen because the Lord was doing miracles, signs and wonders through his hands. The problem of Stephen was the miracles, signs and wonders that were being wrought through his

hands. Likewise, the problem of our Lord Jesus Christ in the eyes of all the old men were the miracles, signs and wonders happening in his hands. Those old men saw Jesus open the eyes of the blind, bring the dead to life, make the lame to work; and instead of them to rejoice with good, they sought to stop the good works that Jesus was doing. That was why they chose Barabbas, a criminal that caused riot in the market and killed someone, to be released over Jesus Christ. The crowd was then asked what should be done to Jesus Christ of Nazareth and they shouted “crucify him.” It is unfortunate that the enemy seeks to crucify good things all the time. That is why wisdom admonishes us to open our minds. Beloved, it is not every good thing happening in your life that is meant to be announced to the world. You only increase the battles you fight when your foolishness takes charge of your life. Some people have announced to the world that they are relocating abroad, whereas they have not even been granted a visa. The enemies you are facing are older than your forefathers; they are wise and if you must overcome them, you need the spirit of wisdom and discretion. Don’t be foolish and play into the hands of the enemies. You should not reveal your strategy to the enemy. It is foolishness that makes some believers to think that every good news is an online testimony. This reminds me of a young man that was praying to travel abroad, and he was counseled by a man of God to keep the whole process secret which he did. He got his visa and ticket, boarded a plane and travelled without telling anyone. On his arrival, he took a photo at the airport and posted it online to show the world that he had arrived. He was deported from that airport back to Nigeria.

Your life can be a wonder to many by the presence and the power of God. People look at your life and wonder how God is doing so much in you at such young age. They see you as blessed wonder how you have achieved greatness early in life. So God can make your life a wonder to many by putting his blessings and power upon you. But anytime you shine, there are enemies who are experienced, crafty and satanically educated that see you as their competitors. Many people cry and run to men of God to complain that they haven’t done anything to offend the enemy. Brethren, you don’t have to do anything, all you need to do is to keep succeeding and the enemies will come after you.

The enemy seeks to fault your wonder and your blessing. They want to embarrass and disgrace you. They seek to stop the move of God and convert that wonder to redundancy. You need wisdom given by the Holy Spirit to silence your enemies. Beloved, there are parties you will not attend when you receive that wisdom. There are marriages that will be contracted quietly when you receive that wisdom. There are people you will not invite to your wedding when you receive that wisdom. There are people that will not know your home address when that wisdom comes upon you. Some people with not have your phone number when that wisdom comes upon you. You will not even eat in some people’s houses when you get that wisdom. It takes wisdom to know those that should be your friends; many have built friendships with their chief enemies. One of the most pathetic stories I read on social media in recent times, was the story of a woman whose husband was cheating with her best

friend. She always called her best friend to complain about her husband’s behavior to the friend who sympathized with her. Little did she know that her friend was the enemy of her marriage! In truth, there is wickedness in this world; and if you have not seen wickedness, my prayer is that you won’t see wickedness in the name of Jesus.

The enemies come, when you make progress and attain success. The enemies do not want your progress; they want you to remain small. The enemies come, the moment your glory begins to rise and shine. The enemies come, when your fame goes abroad. This means that when people begin to talk about you, the enemies will come to say “who is that person that everyone is talking about?” Then you begin to hear statements that are alien to you, statements like “s/he is now proud, etc.”

When your rising star comes, the shooting bullet of the enemy follows. The enemies come, when great miracles and wonders happen through you. The enemies come, when you are richly blessed by God. The enemies come, when you are full of the Holy Ghost and power because you can command the supernatural and draw men to you. In fact, the more anointed you are, the more you are in a position of enmity [i.e. the number of demons assigned to you will increase].

The enemies will come after you when you achieve what others fail at. Brethren, arise and be wise!

How can I Silence the Enemy?

• Be submissive to the Holy Ghost – When the Holy Ghost gives you certain instructions, follow them. The Holy Spirit will guide you on what/what not to do, place[s] to go, people to avoid, vehicles to enter, and so on, when you listen to Him. I know a man of God who was on fire for God. He was called to oversee a church project that was very difficult for others to manage in times past. Seeing he was a honest man, he tendered accurate prices of bricks and other building materials which prices were previously inflated by previous managers, and the project began to advance speedily. The enemies were not happy about this. One day, while he left a cup of tea in his office and stepped out for a while, someone entered and poisoned the tea. The man returned and drank the poisoned tea and all the bones in his body began to rotten while he was still alive. He died. Beloved, you need wisdom to know those in your inner circle. Therefore, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. 

• Constantly be on fire – Fire is the weapon you use to execute judgment on your enemies. Please do not negotiate with the enemy. I have heard some people say that one can pray for the enemy to be saved. Sadly, the enemy may have killed you before getting saved. This is why you must refuse to die. If the enemies will get saved, let them be saved before you start praying. If not, kill them in prayer, because Scriptures say that there is no peace for the wicked. Note that the wickedness of the wicked is too much. You cannot pacify evil; you can only stop evil through prayers. The judgment the Bible passed on witchcraft is “death.”

1. Spirit of wisdom rest upon my life in the name of Jesus
2. Any form of foolishness in my life, jump out by fire in the name of Jesus
3. I am wiser than my enemies in the name of Jesus
4. My Father,[x2] turn the wisdom of my enemies to foolishness in the name of Jesus
5. Satanic wise men assigned against my life, fall down and die in the name of Jesus
6. Strange powers, strange authorities, planning negativity/evil against me, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus

   By your wisdom Lord, I silence my enemies and I silence their wickedness in the name of Jesus
